BSN City FC Announce Senior Coaches

CMI Busselton City has commenced preparations for the upcoming season by recently announcing their 2019 coaches. Last season’s Men’s Premier League coach Alan Armstrong returns and he will be hoping to build on some promising signs that were particularly evident at the beginning of 2018. Busselton City led the South West Soccer Association competition until the half way stage before losing a couple of vital matches to eventual winners, Bunbury Dynamos. Armstrong has a strong coaching background including a stint with State League side South West Phoenix and has been busy strengthening his squad over the summer months. Key to the success for this season will be combining the experience of the likes of Danny Kane, Brett Colombera, Rich Amey and Ian Feakes along with the promise of youngsters Chadley Edwards, Luke Wright, Jaidyn Chromow and Callum Bull.

Last year the Paul Coshott coached Triple M Busselton City ladies team was most successful in winning the Pioneer Cup before finishing runners-up in the South West Cup and the Womens Premier League. There is a change this season with the team being jointly coached by Rob Gibbons and Therese Charlton. Gibbons had an involvement in 2016 with the club and has extensive experience in working with a number of women’s teams and development squads. Therese Charlton has played with both Busselton City and Bunbury Dynamos before embarking on her coaching career last year when she took the Football West Regional Under 16 years side to Singapore. Last season the side had a number of exciting youngsters such as Hannah Armstrong, Chenaye and Kayla Wright, Tui Clarke and Eliza Sheehan who will once again provide the foundation for a successful season.

Preseason training will commence on Tuesday 5 February (6pm) at Churchill Park. Later in that month the Ladies team will be involved in the Football Margaret River Carnival while the men will start their campaign with a FFA Cup fixture in early March. All South West Soccer Association competition fixtures will kick-off on Sunday 7 April.
