Key dates for 2019 south west soccer season released
The South West Soccer Association is pleased to release the key dates for the upcoming 2019 soccer season.
Key league dates remain similar to the 2018 season however in an exciting change the Pioneer Cup will this year be played as an optional pre-season competition.
SWSA President Steve Gibson said the change would benefit clubs preparation for the league season.
“With an all new Executive Committee for 2019, we felt it important to provide a pre-season option for clubs which also simplifies the season’s fixtures.” Mr Gibson said.
“The Committee and I look forward to supporting and fostering south west soccer in 2019 with the Pioneer Cup change one of many improvements on the horizon.”
Pioneer Cup
Round 1 – Sunday 17 March
Round 2 – Sunday 24 March
Round 3 – Sunday 31 March
Final – ANZAC Day Thursday 25 April
Team registrations due by 23 February
Charity Shield
Friday 5 April
Mens: Bunbury United v Dynamos
Womens: Hay Park v Dynamos
League
Season kick-off – Sunday 7 April
Team registrations due by 3 March
South West Cup
Final – Sunday 22 September
Further details including Mike Coley Cup dates will be released soon, with the comprehensive season fixture to be officially released on 18 March.
