Sharks are circling

By Jon Snape

The Busselton city Sharks had a tough game against the GMAS Tornadoes on a sunny Busso morning. The sharks started well and pressed their opponents with some great passes from the midfield to the strikers. The tornadoes gathered speed moving the ball around but it was Connor who broke the dead lock beating 2 Tornado defenders and slotting home a close range effort. With confidence riding high in the sharks they circled the opposing goals and made attack after attack. The momentum changed as the tornadoes equalised with a deflected shot beating the sharks keeper. Half time, the sharks came back out hungry, continuing to attack the Tornadoes with some great football. Passing up the line and crossing the ball from wide into the strikers. It was Bridie who finished off a well worked play, plenty of passes beating their opponents to find the striker who faked one way and went the other to lose her defender. Both teams had a great game.

Shark of the week was awarded to Olly Snape for his tireless efforts in midfield and Defence. He showed a never say die attitude battling hard to win back possession and feeding the attackers. Well done Olly.
