It’s come to the end of the season for our Busselton City FC Mini Roos. With the under 6’s to under 12’s showing some outstanding progress throughout the year. Plenty of appreciation needs to go to all our coaches for all the time and effort they put in each week.
This weekend the under 6’s took on a competitive Capel side. Young Mathew Cowley scored a great opening goal for Busselton while Lucas showed some great defensive skills. Ronan Hughes and Zachery Bosveld both come very close to scoring and created some awesome passing with team mates Christopher Lyndon and Taylum Cobbie. The three young girls in the Busselton team Zoe Lindsay, Isabel Smith and Lexi Aspinal have showed real confidence in competing for the ball and creating some beautiful passing. Full credit to Steve Bosveld with the time and effort he has put in. It has really showed with the teams performance.
Our FIFA age teams have also finished their regular season. With the last day of season 2019 reserved to play the finals of the knock-out cup, we say good luck to two of our Busselton City teams. Our 14's team, coached by Brett Moon have had a wonderful season, winning their league and now hoping to do the double by winning the knock-out cup. Our other team competing on Saturday is Gary Norden's youth league boys team. Undefeated this season, they go into the cup final as favourites, but they'll need to be focused, as anything can happen in a final. Good luck to both teams on Saturday.
And of course with the season wrapping up, this means we are only days away from Country Week 2019. To all LNJSA players who have been chosen to represent our region, good luck and have an awesome week of soccer.
We also need to say a huge thank you to all our junior coaches, who give up their time to develop our future stars. Thanks also to team managers and of course to all the mums and dads, grand parents and other family members for running the kids around all week. Our club wouldn't exist without you all. So thank you!
From all of us at Busselton City FC, we hope all our juniors have enjoyed their season, and we look forward to seeing you back again for season 2020.
