Sharks v MK strikers

By Jon Snape

The sharks followed on from the taster on the under 10’s pitch last week Using every square cm of pitch this week. Plenty of high intensity passing exchanges and hard fought tackles. It was a moment of magic from Bridie who wrong footed one, then two and a third, with some very fancy footwork who opened the scoring. She finished low and hard to round off a great move. Adam was busy in the Sharks goals pulling of some great saves. The Strikers were giving as good as they got and both teams with large squads made for lots of changes in personnel. The game continued at a very high tempo with some excellent skills on show from both teams. Half time came and went but an eager shark attacked the loose ball and hit a low drive which beat the keeper only seconds after the restart. James in his first season enjoyed every cheer he got from the crowd. Fellow debutants Xavier and Ava fought hard in midfield as defence, Xavier having his best performance to date. Busselton veterans Liana, Olly, Connor and Spencer all showing their experience with some calm passing and aggressive attacks. Adam followed his first half performance with a determined display in midfield. Connor weaved through a number of tackles and scored a great goal to round off the game. A very even encounter was rounded off with a fun penalty shoot out. All players having a go! A great game for a the spectators and the sport.

Shark of the week was shared again this week with Adam and James sharing the spoils. Well done
